In what area of your life are you accepting “fine” when you know you want it to be great?
I was in the studio audience last week for a taping of an upcoming episode of “The Mel Robbins Show.” She’s a life coach whose daily talk show launches soon on CBS. She believes deeply in the ability of all people to craft their lives into something great.
And yet so often, we accept a life that is fine. Nothing is really wrong (or is it?) so we endure another day. We don’t prioritize that area that’s just fine, even though something better still lives inside us.
We buy into the lie that this is all we get out of life. The lie that tells us not to rock the boat, to stay in a place simply because its convenient for everyone else even though it’s crushing your soul. The lie that says that we don’t have the ability to serve at our highest level.
Maybe you’d like a relationship to be more life-giving, or a career in a different field, or to reorganize your closet, or to volunteer overseas.
To take it a step beyond the Mel Robbins philosophy, I believe that that inkling to do something more is the still, small voice of God. We so often feel selfish for claiming our power and greatness, but maybe you are needed there in your dream life to do some good for someone else. #GodsWorkOurHands
Today, prioritize that area where fine is not OK, and take a step toward greatness.
