The pandemic makes us feel like we’re living in a small box, and yet now more than ever the world needs people to build a new box, not just think outside existing boxes.
We’re spending more time at home, which can make us feel boxed in. We’re seeing others in the little boxes on Zoom. We’re getting everything delivered in boxes.
It’s understandable that we start to live small. So much of our environment is signaling us to do so.
And yet we won’t always be in this box, and when we come out we’ll find the world fundamentally changed. We can start to prepare now.
I run six-month small groups for people who are ready to “build a new box.” They are pastors, youth ministers, and other church-adjacent people who are seeking a new call, or know they need to rethink the way they do their current call, or don’t know what’s next but they know something needs to change.
We go through a proven process to systematically explore what might be next for them. It’s not just a gifts inventory, it is an intentional process of learning to think differently about who we are and how we serve the world, all while listening for the still, small voice of God.
It’s about building an entirely new box, using the materials that you have already cultivated in your life. We build on your existing gifts, experiences, and connections. God has prepared you for something and together we will uncover it, and make a plan to actually do it.
It’s called Discern by Doing, and it starts in February. Message me to learn more.
