Over the last couple of weeks, many of my coaching clients have been walking through some painful endings. Honestly, all of America seems to be walking through a painful ending.
Whether it’s time to end a job, a destructive habit, a relationship that isn’t going to work, or an embedded belief about racism, it’s going to be messy. It also must be done.
Sometimes during the mess, we want to go back into our little cocoon, but we don’t fit in there anymore. It’s OK to take a break and take care of ourselves, but the cocoon is broken. It won’t contain us anymore. We need to face the mess and move to the next step.
So here’s to everyone who is in their painful ending. The new beginning is on its way, and it’s going to be good.
