That idea you want to hatch? You don’t need to justify it to anyone. You just need to roll it out in a way that honors everyone affected.

I talked with a friend the other day who is thinking of moving just because she wants to, yet she is so aware that she doesn’t have a good reason. She just wants to, she has the means, and yet sometimes that doesn’t feel like that’s enough of a reason.⁣

Someone I coach is highly qualified in her field and wants to start an online program, yet struggles with this feeling that just deciding to help people and putting it out there is not a good enough reason. ⁣

I also coach a pastor who knows that it is time to leave the church where she is currently serving. It took her two years to contact me because things were fine, and she didn’t feel like she could leave just because she wanted to. The congregation would never think that’s a good enough reason. ⁣

Today I’m here to tell you that the feeling that you need a change is a good enough reason. Listening to that still, small voice inside is a reason. It’s there for a purpose, and it’s OK to listen to it.⁣

I’m also here to tell you that even if no one around you understands, I do. I can provide that safe container to explore that new idea, make a plan to investigate it before you do anything irreversible, and then make the change with grace, compassion, and a safety net.⁣

If you are a church-adjacent leader, small business owner, or writer and you feel like it might be time to hatch your next idea, let’s talk. Follow the link in my bio to set up a free, no-pressure exploratory conversation. ⁣
