I’ve been waiting for Advent, which in turn is a season of waiting for Christmas, at the end of a year of So. Much. Waiting.
We have all become semi-professional waiters. We’re waiting for the new normal. Waiting to go back to doing all the things. Waiting for the host to let us into the Zoom meeting.
Yet Advent is a new type of waiting. It’s an intentional wait. It’s marking time, reflecting, and looking forward to Christmas.
I mark Advent by sending daily self-help videos that are loosely lectionary-based and are part of an optional bingo game in which the prize is “The Nice Person’s Guide to Saying No.” Check the link in my bio to sign up and play along.
In the meantime let me know below, for what are you waiting right now?
