Reflection Section

Choose a set of questions for deeper reflection on God's plan for you.

Questions for Grown-Ups

  • What is the biggest weather event you have experienced? Where did you see God present in that event? How do you feel when something huge and out of control takes over and affects your plans?
  • Think of a time when God called you to do something really big. How did it feel? Did you actually listen to God’s call or pare it down? Where might God be calling you to do your next big thing?
  • When have you felt like the right thing to do was not what the people around you were doing? How did you deal with it?

Questions for Young Disciples

What kind of storm do you remember? Was it a snow storm? What about a thunderstorm that was really loud with lots of rain? Have you ever seen a storm with hail? Do storms make you scared or do you enjoy them? Is there something special you do with your family during or after a storm? Do you snuggle up and watch movies during a snowstorm or maybe jump in puddles and look for rainbows after a rainstorm?  Remember that God is with you during all the storms and God loves you!

Questions for Younger Disciples

Have you ever seen a storm that had so much rain that you thought it would never stop? Did the storm have lighting that was so bright that you needed sunglasses? Maybe the storm had thunder that was so loud you had to cover your ears. Who helped you not to worry during the storm? God loves us so much and God puts special people in our lives to help us.

Spend 60 minutes alone with no technology on, in, or near a body of water. Maybe that's a bucket of water in your yard or maybe it's a vast body of water nearby. Contemplate, journal, listen, walk, or pray.

Activity for Families:

Animal charades. Think of an animal. Act like the animal and see who can guess it. No words are allowed, but animal sounds are encouraged!

Mission Moment

Share your craft on social media or post it in the front window for others to see with a short phrase about how God has kept promises to you.

Option 2:

Take brave action to learn more about that "next big thing" that God is calling you to do. Then do something about it.
